Word Wings is just my personal writing site. The title is based off of a poem I wrote a while ago. It was basically a metaphor where literature was being compared to birds. That poem is my favorite poem I've ever written!
The quote above my banner is from William Wordsworth.
Firstly, I'm SOOOO sorry I haven't been active!
Second, the MWC was a FAILURE, but I'm trying it again for October. Please please please please PLEASE enter - I don't care if your writing is horrible. I just don't want to fail again.
The October Writing Contest is on!
My name is Cae. I like to read, draw, play the piano, code HTML & CSS, and last but not least... I love to write. If my writing binder disappeared, or was left in my house during a fire, tornado, flood, whatever, or just anything bad happened to it, I probably wouldn't be able to live happily anymore. The thing about being a writer is that nothing is more precious than your writing. And that's one thing I don't think anyone understands but writers themselves.
The feeling writers get when they write is the most important feeling in the world.
Lots of people tell me that my writing style is really unique. I don't really agree with them, but then again, I might just have a modest mind.
I write novels and poems. I haven't really finished a novel yet, but I'm working on one and I hope to finish it this summer. Knowing myself, I'll only be on chapter ten when school starts up again! I won't put that one up on this site, though, because I'm paranoid. I would take it down as soon as I put it up because I think someone would steal it!
My poetry doesn't usually rhyme, and the ones that do usually end up as songs without a tune. Every time I read them, a different melody forms in my head. It's really cool, actually. This website will be full of poems, because I don't treasure them as much.
You may be wondering why I don't write short stories. The thing is, I don't have the mental ability to create them! My writing is either short or long, but nowhere in between. How am I supposed to fit my imagined story into a tiny piece of literature less than three pages long? Exactly! However, I
will try at some point in the future am trying to work on my short story skills.
Enjoy Word Wings!
